Anyone have first hand experience running lighter varmint bullets in a fast (7-7.5") twist 6mm? I have a barrel that needs breaking in and was considering bringing it on a prairie dog trip with 75 or 87 grain vmax bullets loaded up. Wondering if the bullets will hold up being pushed 3000+ fps with a 7 twist.

I've run the 87 Vmax in a 26" 1:8 twist 6X47L. I never checked velocity but based on the steel report, they got to the target a lot faster than 105s.

There was a similar thread on accurateshooter the other day and the consensus was that they should hold up fine.
