I hate to bash but has anyone had problems getting ahold of Vectronix. I have a brand new pair of the Vector X 12x42 SMRS and tried to perform a firmware update and these binos will now not power on. I have replaced the CR123A thinking it could have been just the battery doubted that. I have reached out to Vectronix and gotten only one email in the past week. Does anyone have a number to call. Pretty sad spending almost 3k on a pair of binos and not being able to get ahold of anyone.

I have an email into them as well. Got a form response saying they would answer back when they get to it. It's been a week with nothing. I'm less than pleased on a 3k+ set of binos.

Not to beat a dead horse. But this thread is a #1 example why I didn't jump on these binos. My buddy, who I mentioned WEEKS back in the other thread, has issues with his in the cold and now they simply won't turn on. It's been 1+ months with dead binos and no reply from Vectronix. He used them TWICE! He is about submit a claim for purchase protection under his credit card to refund his money.

This is NOT surprising to say the least.

Hopefully people can get this sorted. I was so close to getting in on some pre-orders for these too. Seems like great glass and great features, but the warranty is what held me back. I still have my Fury 5000AB and got a pair of Kilo 10K Gen 2 for Christmas. The warranty/support was the deciding factor for me.

That sucks, hope you get it sorted. I seem to remember the Gen 1 turned into bricks also and people were SOL. Its really a shame these high end products are pushed so hard h and then have issues that never get resolved.

If I’m not wrong euro does the warranty on these with Vectronix. When I had issues with my terrapin x I contacted them and they took care of everything. Same thing with my binos. Had a issue and they connected me with Philip again to fix the problem
Thank you, sent an email to euro to see what they have to say. I should have listened to all of the commenters on here and not jump onto this so quickly, if at all. Lesson learned.

Went through this last year when dad's LRF wouldn't connect to his kestrel. I had to get rowdy to get them to be helpful at all - in the end kestrel was way more helpful than these jokers. I want dad to sell his vectronix and go to sig with me because they were such asshats

Here's his email: NOACK Philip (SAFRAN VECTRONIX) <[email protected]>

Can you even do that

Did the reply to the email I provided directly, or natural interaction?

If it was the direct email, that doesn't count since I had to spend a month not during shotshow to get that.

For those that may have the same problem heres the solution that worked for me:

remove battery, wait ten seconds, App opened and ready for searching of devices (you probably won't be able to see a device at that time.
2) re-insert battery
3) press and hold the D-Pad Center button
4) press the laser button
5) release laser button, followed by the release of the center button of the D-PAD
6) a new device can now be found by the app most probably it advertises itself as AB-VECSS....
7) the app will recognise the device and restart the firmware update.

Philip reached out to me in response to the email I sent to the [email protected] address that Area 419 gave me. I was able to fix my binoculars after talking with him.

My particular issue was the left eye cup was at an odd angle, not flat like the right eye cup. Spinning it did not raise/lower the eye cup like it did on the right. Taking the rubber piece off, the are 3 TINY screws that ride in a track to raise and lower the eye cup. 1 of the screws had somehow jumped that track and was under the outer metal piece. I was able to get the 2 pieces of metal apart and remove that tiny screw. Put it all back together and re-installed the little screws and it now tracks correctly.

Attached is a pic showing the little track that the screw rides in. That screw was UNDER that outer piece of metal.

So while I ended up not needing any warranty repair, he did reach out.
