Have owned several pre-Leica Vextronix, it would have to be a very specialized need to get me to purchase one today, even if used.
They are heavy and bulky with worrisome repair channels. But the show stopper for me was using the Leica 2800/3500. It has near the beam size as some of the Vextronix, and if you work the ambient light right, you can get insanely far returns, with the azimuth like the C versions of the Vextronix. It is super small, lite, and affordable. The downside is the Bluetooth is a bit spotty and can affect the max range read, especially if the batteries are low.
Is it going to range as far as the 15C? No but probably further than one can shoot even an ELR gun. And if you really need to set up for 2 miles+, old school workarounds are not hard to do.
Now, if you need a product that is not NV detectable, that's another discussion altogether.
