Vectronix PLRF25C NO MORE ?

I was just doing a google search and I clicked on a link and it seems like the PLRF25C has been discontinued, Surely that can't be right, I know they dropped the Terrapin a couple of years back but now they seem to be Axing the PLRF 25c as well,

Vectronix merged and now are called SAFRAN. I just looked on their web site and the 25c is still on their line up of handheld range finders. I got mine in 2014 only paid $6750 with a big discount after talking to APO at the Shot Show. It was one of those you have 10 minutes to take the deal things

Well Last week they listed them as part of the stock and today they list them as discontinued, So it is no wonder that I have some confusion about them Aye.

The confusion that they had better clear up if they want to rebuild their market is how they are going to service the unit.

Well I hope they sort things out and keep making them but their prices are way over the top, I am happy with the LRF I have got but there is no way would I pay 10 or 12 times the price of what I already have, Mine already goes out a heck of a long way and most people just don't realize exactly how far 1 mile actually is,

Dear Chris,
In general ist ist to say that we out phased the product years ago. Therefore the serviceability will only continue for 2 more years and the products are definitely out of warranty if they would be returned to us for repairs.
Service costs would be very much depending on the level of usage, because as MIL-approved product it is quite of robust design and the return rate is very low.
