Vectronix Terrapin PLRF (rated to 2625 Yards)

A friend has been looking for an excellent-quality, well-reviewed, portable laser range finder (PLRF) with rated capability beyond 2000 yards. He settled on a Vectronix Terrapin, which is rated for 2400 meters (2625 yards) - specs at Vectronix > HOME (wait a few seconds for all the levels to load; brochure link in the lower right). He then set out to find a decent price. MANY resellers later he was getting the feeling that Vectronix had the reseller price locked at $1995. Fortunately he then ran across a forum post (not on the hide) that mentioned a primarily government-only reseller, Potomac River Group/PTG Defense Vectronix Terrapin Pocket Laser Rangefinder. They have Terrapins in stock at $1825 plus $20 for shipping. He ordered his this morning and asked me to pass along the info for others that might be in a similar situation.

Nice find. APO is one of the largest distributer of Vectronix products, I don't know the exact prices.... I do know that we have Terrapins in stock.
