Looking for suggestions for a stock before I buy.
I am having a Bartlein chambered to 6.5x47 Lapua spun on to a Kelbly Atlas Tactical.
I can't decide on a stock.
I want to learn to shoot out to 1k. I have a local PRS style range setup with steel out to 1k. Also might dabble in a local steel Varmint silhouette bench shoot. Nothing serious or competitive. There are guys with full blown bench guns weighing primers and the whole 9 yards that clean house. But, it'd still be fun to go and try to give em a run for their money lol.
So, a little bench...a little prone...a little situational PRS style stuff...groundhog shooting...usually proned out in a field...I know that's asking a lot from 1 stock.
I am leaning towards a Manners PRS-2. From the design, I think it'd handle all those tasks. Flat for and flat forend should bench better than many stocks with rounded forends and toes. Ergonomically, should be solid prone and situational shooting...
Any opinions? Other options to look at?
If I went with Manners, mini chassis or not? Would I even be able to fit a Kelbly into the mini chassis?
The stock has been something I just can't make a decision on. Figured you guys may be able to provide some guidance.
Thanx!
