Veterans Day Sale on Steel Targets

I just finished ordering a bunch of steel to use for the next .22LR long range match we are going to hold on Thanksgiving weekend. How thick would recommend for .22lr shooting?

3/16” AR400 is fine, though I tend to get 1/4” for 3” and smaller targets, just so that they have a little more mass and settle quicker. And my use is in matches, where they get hammered hundreds of times in a day match. Never had any damage at all, even at very short distances of 25 yards and less. 3/16” thick for larger diameter targets used at 200 yards and more. I want those lighter for the extra movement when hit.

Do it! Now you see why I posted it.

I hadn’t shot my .22 rifle in probably ten years prior to this March, when I agreed to run an April .22 match. It was a blast and a nice change of pace from the regular CF matches I’ve been shooting. It obviously was fun for others too, as I’ve been asked to run one this month.

I’ll include some tiny turkey targets too, just to capture the season.
