I maintain 165 M4's and 10 A4's, all fitted with Trijicons RCOs
AN/PVQ-31A for the A4's
AN/PVQ-31B for the M4's
Let me first say that PFCs and Lcpls are hard on gear....
They break alot of shit, they loose alot of shit.
With that said, I see atleast 2-3 RCO's come back fucked up after most any field op.
Usualy its one of 2 things, either moisure inside the optic, or internal haze/mist which will go from barely noticable to "I cant see anything out of it" in the course of about a week.
If the RCO developes either of the 2 discrepencies above, it goes to a Maint. Bn. who sends it straight to Trijicon, and 99% of the time they deem it FUBAR.
Take it for what its worth, but Ide rather have an ill. variable power in the same price range.
