Don't know if my experience is typical or not, but here goes:

Ruger 10/22 Target model - Blue, 20" factory "Target" barrel, Kidd Single -stage 1.5 lb trigger, zeroed at 50 yards with CCI Standard ammo. .75 - 1.0" groups. Nothing to write home about, but acceptable to me for now.
Replaced factory wood laminate stock with Titan stock. Took it to the range this morning to check zero. Still same group size, but now hitting 3.0 mils lower than before. I figured point of impact might change a little, but was surprised it would be this much. The barreled action was a tight fit in the factory wood stock, and definitely NOT free floated. In the new Titan stock it is most-definitely free floated. Not complaining - very happy with the Titan. Just surprised at the difference in POI.
    Anyone else had similar experience?

Sounds to me like you are having barrel droop. Barrel droop is common on 10/22 Ruger actions after the fore-end pressure is relieved when you free-float the barrel since the stock was holding the barrel up rather than the barrel block. The best solution is to install a Gunsmither Tools 10/22 barrel block. You might have to do a minor modification on the barrel to provide a flat surface for the new block, but it will not interfere with using the barrel with a factory block.

Hmm. Interesting. The factory stock - which for the "Target" model, doesn't have the barrel band - was definitely touching/pushing on the barrel. There's actually a bump at the forward end of the barrel channel that made contact.
However, the barrel is fit very tightly in the receiver. So I'm not sure whether it's "droop", or just that it's no longer being forced upward.

I may give that barrel block a try though. It's $15 and change. A pretty inexpensive fix if it works.
    Thanks.
