The actions themselves are a 'poor form of entertainment' for people nowadays. Then on top of that, there's the whole 'videoing' of it all, which is worse.

Boxing, aka "The Sweet Science" I can understand. Two trained and 'qualified' (in the sense that they've both voluntarily agreed to combat) individuals whom are intending the same outcome. Same goes for almost any other sanctioned or organized sport.
This video being referenced just seems to be an act of stupidity followed by a "race to the dumbest". Which also seems to be the intent and driving force of most shows on tv and news nowadays.
Therein being the difference of what I was trying to allude to. Being entertained by those aiming to entertain is one thing. Being entertained by the denigration of intelligence and society is another. Just my opinion, is all.

The video didnt really show how the first shot happened. Did loudmouth push or hit the old guy with the gun? I was impressed how shirtless boy got the shotgun in the fight.
for the record, the shirtless here in Texas are a bit more refined than elsewhere in our fare land, not normally prone to shooting neighbors even when pissed. They normally hold a grudge islamic militant style though.
That is murder. And the fact they initiated the confrontation, again, with weapons in their hands makes it premeditated in my book.

Bad shooting even by Texas standards. No property or life in immediate danger. Just white trash arguing about a mattress near the communal dumpster in the alley. I'm surprised they didn't shoot the wife too.
I would agree but there is always a lesson to be learned. 1) no life or property were in danger (bad for shooters) and 2) the situation changed drastically when son changed position as wingman (bad for the deceased). All for a useless and no good worthless claim.

I dont know the history between these two families but this could have been avoided if one party had just walked away. They were both instagaters and both looking for trouble.

The dynamic duo then pull their weapons in front of the nieces and nephews, that’s when orange shirt guy goes back out to the alley and confronts the neighbors. My bet is they go to prison.

While this is stupid all around, guy in orange shirt made multiple threats to kill shirtless dude and was significantly larger and younger than old fat shirtless guy;
Shirtless dude SHOULD have walked away, but he repeatedly told orange shirt dude to back off.

I agree it is unbelievably stupid and probably an ongoing feud but orange shirt really fucked up bringing a fist or loud mouth to a gunfight when the odds are against you.
Orange shirt thought they didn't have the balls to bust a cap or two and was told a lot of times to back off and told 3 feet was when it would happen,yet he pushed it, and found out they would shoot. Unless LE has previous encounters with them anything before that video will just be “he said” “she said” If I had to go by just that video I would have to say not guilty under Texas law.

Police are saying the deceased ended up with a bat raised it and then was shot twice by the ol' man. Deceased then threw bat at the ol' man and more shooting occurred. Their bail was initially set and released at 25k. Later, a judge had them arrested again with bail at 250k. Social media forcing change in bail. Now, that is unusual.

I had a real problem with trash from my white trash neighbors. I don't confront people directly for this very reason. They had three pit bulls and I’m armed. Too much can go wrong. I dealt with their Landlady, code enforcement and the town trash removal with support of other neighbors . They were all very willing to help. My alley no longer looks like little Hati....... oh and the landlady made them get rid of two of the pits. They were only suppose to have one and he is a real sweetheart.
Fucked up. But I have news for the deceased and his girl friend. You can defend your life anywhere, not just your home. Alleys are not some special "safe zone".

As soon as the bat was thrown that was an attack. It would not be unreasonable to think someone throws a bat to distract to then attack. If someone throws a bat at me I am not shooting instantly, but if i see the person at that point advancing and not retreating well shooting will begin.
