Remarkable people too. I wonder where Vietnam will be on the spectrum of Foe - friend in the coming years...It would appear the trajectory is favorable for the latter.

off topic silly question... do most GIs develop a serious attraction for the women in countries we invade?
and if so may this have something to do with our animal instincts?

You may be right, I think the Vietamnese are the second best looking girls there is, second only to Amerasians.
Besides if more American women were like Vietnamese women, we could get by with smaller Wallmart stores.

Don't count on it. The wife of a buddy of mine is Viet, and yes, they can "expand their horizons," too.

i'm headed to vietnam in november for a month, well a month split between vietnam and cambodia...
there is something to be said for the physical attraction, but there are numerous reasons guys 'pick up' women from overseas...i've had a ton of friends who have found perfect 10s from small, poor villages who've made perfect wives/mothers....

dunno, but I have been making my wife wear an all black baggy ninja outfit, so maybe your onto something
