I have an AIAE MkII with the 2.0 folding stock. I currently have the OD green thumbhole AI skins but the Viperskins look very nice. Can anybody provide some feedback about switching to the viperskins and how you like/dislike them over the regular AI skins? Thanks.

I've only handled Viperskins on one rifle. They seemed to be nicely shaped, but the grip was shorter than the AI pistol grip and slightly different of a feel. I do like the thumb-shelf, though. Overall, the AI pistol grip is more comfortable for me.

I have an AIAE MkII 2.0 and went to the pistol grip skins. I love the look of the thumbhole but struggled with it. Since I went to the pistol grips I've never looked back. I put AI pistol grip skins on mine just to keep everything AI. I do however have a Victor cheek piece on my AI and believe he puts out great products for a great rifle system.

It's not the AX chassis is it? I would like to keep everything AI but am not opposed to the viperskins.

Viperskins are a great product, I prefer them over the AI skins personally. Not only are they a better skin, they also allow you to add pic rails and flush cups and change the palm swell and the rear buttstock skin, you can also use a monpod on the butt. The AI skins don't have these features. Victor company also has great customer service, the owner often posts here and responds to your order personally. A forum search will pull up a lot more threads with feedback from other happy users.

I have both the AICS pistol grip stock sides and the Viper skins. IMHO the Viper skins are much better then the AICS. There is a nice thumb rest on the Vipers, mounting points for side rails, ability to change to flush cups and a very nice fit and finish. Viper skins are the way to go.

Remington, I'm not shooting the AX chassis. The Viperskins do have a lot of options the AI skins don't. I had a monopod on mine but the AI skins don't allow for them like mentioned about. I started shooting matches recently and the pistol grip skins work well for me. I don't use a monopod anymore and have a skid plate on the front of my stock. What's great about the AI system is if you are using the Atlas spigot you can remove the bipods easily depending on what the stage calls for. How far are you from Crestview Florida? There is a match coming up at K & M on the 27th of July. If you come you can shoot my rig to see if you like the pistol grips.
