I am currently looking to reload .308 with the Berger VLD's for hunting. I have heard mixed info on seating in the lands and .30-.40 off the lands. What is the biggest/best VLD that can be run in a AICS mag for .308? I Have a mag length of 2.90" to work with. Due to running a mag sys I am going to try them seated around 2.80"-2.90". Any info on loads and experience will help.

Thanks

Alot depends on your chamber specs if you wish to reach the lands and work in the mag. If you are just asking what will work in the AICS mag, you can load up to the 190gr without problems with to much powder "crunch". The 210 will take up alot more power space inside the cartridge case.

The 168 and 175 has worked well in two factory rifles and one custom for me. The factory rifle have to jump and the custom doesnt.
