Holy screw-ups.
Entirely my fault but when I got the scope I was most interested in daylight bright. That, it is most definitely daylight bright into 16:00 fall sun. I ordered the MRAD version from cstactical in January and I received in late April. Life got in the way and I finally built the article it was going on. Took it out and sighted in in. Then...then it F'ing dawned on me shooting at 400 yards. This is a BDC reticle...WTF? I ordered the MRAD. They sent the MOA and I didn't notice.
Now, it's my fault for not noticing the MOA on the box when I opened it. It's not awful I guess, but I'm a bit pissed. Mainly at myself for opening box, checking dot and not the reticle itself, putting back in box and waiting until 2 days ago to mount said scope. Not even thinking about the reticle but just the "dot."
I'd love to see if cstactical would trade me for it and let me have an mrad for some delta off this scope; but frankly, I'm not going to ask. It's my fault for not checking upon receiving. It's had maybe 100 rounds on a 5.56. I could live with it I guess, but I have no BDC reticles as I figure as long as you know your dope, you don't need one. Truthfully, other than the daylight bright dot, the 1-8.5 Bushy works for me much better (probably because it's mils).
Yes, I'm a dumb mofo, I admit it.
Suggestions? Yes, I guess I could put it on the market or learn to live with a BDC (they're not all bad...I guess) .
