Vortex 85mm 22x Eyepiece With reticle (Gen 2 spotter)

Hi all, me and a bud are thinking about getting the 22x Eyepiece for our 27-60x85mm Vortex spotter but we are undecided because we are not entirely sure about how effective it will be for the longer ranges 1000 yds plus being that it is only 22x and not variable mag.

Or should we sell it and get a different spotter? Spotter 60 or Leupold 20-60?

Any input/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

The 22x is more than enough to see targets at longer ranges with the reticle eye piece.

I use a a Razor HD w/ 22x mil eyepiece for steel out to 1000yds with no complaints.

Agree, I own the 22X and shoot to 1,300 weekly and its more than enough. Super clear glass too. Another summer plus, causes less mirage in the summer with lower power at 22X. And fixed glass is often clearer because its easier to make fixed vs variable glass.

Ranging reticle...many good reasons to buy this eyepeice.

You should be happy with eye piece, we have one of our spotters setup with Mil retical and it worked very well with our equipment used when competing out to 3500 + yards.
