I purchased a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 about 6 months ago and mounted it on my Remington .308. I have put about 400 rounds down range with it and the scope has performed flawlessly. I purchased a Remington 700 5R MilSpec .300 win mag about 8 months ago and I am ready to put a scope on it. Does anyone have any experience with a Vortex scope on a high power rifle. I am concerned about the pounding that it will take mounted on the 300 win mag. Any and all replies are welcomed.

Re: Vortex durability

Check out the Tundra Test on youtube, should be available on the Vortex site also. That answered all my questions about Vortex's durability

Re: Vortex durability

My Razor HD has performed flawlessly, and Vortex has some of the best customer service to compliment a very generous lifetime warranty. They have fixed several minor issues for me in a few days turnaround time

Re: Vortex durability

That is great news to hear. I cant wait to mount it on my 5R. I watched the two videos on the Vortex scopes Tundra Test and it was impressive. Thanks for the video links!
