Looks like Vortex is teasing their replacement for the Fury HD AB. Seeing as that product is no longer listed on their site, this might actually release soon? Looking for some good ballistic binos and I don't want to give Sig any money. This might be the ticket.

Since Vortex acquired Geoballistics, everyone is anticipating the new binos will use GB instead of AB.
Real dumbass move.
Based on the styling and the buttons, my money is on a Razor HD LRF with simple ballistics readout. GeoBallistics will probably be the engine. Direct competitor to the Swaro EL Range. Targeting the hunters that want premium glass LRF.
unless they've backtracked, Vortex confirmed this as early as March or April 2023. Fury was to be the last product release w/ AB
Could this finally be the Razor UHD LRF unit many have been hoping for? If so, based on my experience with their other Razor UHD bino's this should cause quite a stir. I have a review coming of the Razor UHD 8x32 vs. the Zeiss Victory SF 8x32 and the Vortex holds its own quite well!
I think that could just as easily be a budget LRF bino as it could be a Razor with onboard ballistics.
Guys, Vortex's CEO has literally said that the pictured bino is not the replacement to the Fury AB.

A fellow dumb and dumber fan!! Don't feel too bad, we always "hope" for what we want.
Maybe from our point of view, but honestly it's these "cheaper" options that sell crazy well for Vortex and other sport optics mfr's which helps with R&D on the more expensive stuff that eventually rolls around.
We've been crying... begging... pleading with Vortex to bring out a Razor LRF bino unit and I've got to figure that something is coming and maybe when it does it will hopefully have been "worth the wait".
They will sell like hotcakes to the hunters. The group I hunt with thinks I’m crazy for spending so much. I have a set of fury’s and they cost more than their entire rifle and scope setup. They want something that will probably never range an animal over 200 yards with and spend as little as possible.
^^^ Yep - they'll spend $1000 on a golf club but can't imagine paying more than $300 for a scope...

Some people here have single rifles + scopes that cost more than some people’s trucks.
Man, I sound like an ass. Didn’t mean it that way.
But some people get more out of saving cash than they do out of the actual activity. Or at least that’s what it’s seems to me, sometimes, as I shake my head at the cheap equipment I see others use that makes the hobby painful to do.
Then there are those guys with $100,000+ shotguns. That sounds like small-penis trucks at that point lol
I guess we all rationalize how we spend our money.
Oh yeah I have a rifle setup that probably costs more than most peoples cars to. But my point is vortex is worried about selling as many as possible to the Hunter crowd the tactical crowd can be just as cheap. I can almost guarantee almost all the guys I hunt with would buy them. Hell we have a cheap set of vortex binos in the house everyone thinks are great.
Oh yeah, totally agree. I just don’t ”get” that crowd.
For example, I always find it hard to understand dudes (that have the cash) who cheap out on, say, rings. Rings that they got a “good deal” on but that make them lay their heads sideways on the stock lol
I know what you mean. Or I bought this scope because it was cheap and when it has issues they can’t believe it. I have a Vortex strike Eagle that sits on a 22. I had to send it back once so far. The new one hasn’t been treated nice and seems to be holding zero even after it being carried all over and bumped up against stuff. Was no surprise on my end it might have to go back. But glass is decent and has a lifetime warranty. It sits in a Spuhr mount.
I personally would still rather use phone/kestrel for ballistics. Maybe a new Fury will be released eventually.
But being able to laser range, spot a shot, and then give a measured correction (via reticle) all from one optic would be nice (without spending over $2k)
I'll adopt whichever system is able to simultaneously use real time data from two or more instruments. (e.g. anemomter and LRF) for calculations.
I’m about to buy another StrikeEagle for the same job. I’ll put higher end stuff on my hunting rifles.
You should like it. I really like mine. Well except for the one time I had to send it back. But it works just fine for me.
