Anyone know when Vortex will be catching up with backorders. I am after the 6-24ffp mil/mil. I have one on order but it still might be awhile. I might step up to the razor or go with something different. Shooting season is now and I really do not want to wait a few months for a scope.

Opticsplanet has countersnipers in stock. Otherwise you're looking at a lengthy wait. I have an order for a SFP with Liberty Optics. At the time of order, there was only one guy ahead of me so I'll be receiving mine in the next shipment. Problem is the shipment wasn't coming in for 4 weeks. His FFP list was about 68 people and I believe he said he gets less than 10 FFP per drop so you can do the math. And Scott seems to get more of em than anyone else. And quicker too.

If you can deal with SFP, assuming Scott hasn't gotten a bunch of orders for those, you can have one in about 3 weeks.

Re: Vortex pst availability?

I'm on Scott's list. I'm also on at least 1 other list. I'm also set to notify on just about every site that carries the things. I didn't know those numbers on shipment quantities or people in line. I'm guessing it'll be July at least before I see mine.

Re: Vortex pst availability?

Marshall from Primary Arms is here on the hide as a vendor. I bought my 1-4x PST from them recently and they had all models in stock with free shipping, and Butler Creek cap discounts.

He and Jeff were both gentlemen to speak with, see what they can do for you. I am a happy customer from them.

Re: Vortex pst availability?

I heard last night there is a large shipment in customs right now. Likely about 2wks before dealers will have in their hands to ship to customers.

I'm hopeful I will see Big Brown dropping it off in a few wks given I'm #3 on the list for a 6-24x50 FFP mil/mil.

That sounds right. Scott told me about a week and a half ago that it would be around 4 weeks until he got his next shipment and a lot of that hold up is going through customs. Made in the USA > shipped from overseas.

when i ordered my SFP from Liberty i was told 4-5 weeks out. I am betting it is close to 2 months by now. Orders keep trickling in.......waiting lists keep building.........a couple of scopes get shipped.

Re: Vortex pst availability?

If you keep your eyes open vendors from all over post abotu extras they have in stock and ready to go, you've just gotta be quick on the phone.

My local Sportsmans warehouse has had a few PSTs on their shelf for a few weeks now, so keep your eyes open, they're out there.

The waiting lists are first come, first serve. New orders coming in won't affect your status.

Personally, I got tired of waiting and just bought another NF but I agree, of all the problems to have they've got a good one.

Re: Vortex pst availability?

Guys,

Thanks for all of your collective patience.

Waiting lists are indeed first come first served. It's only fair.

I do not think we get more than other dealers, some huge dealers likely get more, but we do get our fair share, always have and hopefully always will.

I'm perfectly Ok with you guys covering your bases and getting on more than one waiting list. I do appreciate the courtesy of a cancellation so I don't have to hunt you down only to hear about where you got yours. I'm truly happy for you, and we just move everyone up behind you on the list and carry on. But it saves me time and hassle if we are notified when you cancel.

I wish you the best in your PST quest.....

Thanks for all your support

Scott

Re: Vortex pst availability?

We consumers think we have it bad, I feel bad for Scott and the other dealers that have to put up with our impatience (me included...sorry Scott). Theyre going to need counseling before all this is over!
