Hello:
This is my first post on Sniper's Hide. Does anyone know of a reputable dealer from which I can obtain this scope from? I placed an order from EuroOptic, one of the sponsors of this site and I can tell you that I was very disappointed.
First, I e-mailed OpticAuthority which I believe is the same outfit as EuroOptic to see if the scope was in stock. I got a reply from an Alex that it was. So I placed the order on-line that same day, got no e-mail confirmation after 24 hours, figured that the order did not go through, so I went on-line and placed the order again. Still no e-mail confirmation. I called EuroOptic on Wednesday morning and spoke with a Keefer. He was very polite and explained that for some reason, neither of my order(s) had downloaded from their server. In addition, the Vortex scope that Alex had told me was in stock was now out of stock. I was offered the back order option at a reduced price which was very fair, however I was anxious to get the scope and declined the offer. I then got an e-mail from Keefer at EuroOptics that the orders were cancelled. Tonight (Thursday) I see that my credit card has been charged for the price of the scope, the first order I made on Monday. Interesting how their server can not download an order but it does seem to charge my credit card. It is frustrating to have this happen to you.
I then ordered from CameraLand in NY on Wednesday at 8:23 A.M. central time and have yet (as of Thursday at 6:19 Central Time) received any confirmation of shipping. They did send a confirmation e-mail.
What luck have you folks had with ordering Vortex scopes and from whom? I am sorry to be so negative on my first post here on Sniper's Hide but as I said, it's frustrating.
Thanks,
Nightwing
