I have my gun sighted in at 200 with the scope but the turrets don't line up at zero. My other scopes swfa 5-20 you just lift the turret cap off and place it back on zero...can this be done on the vortex? If so, how do I do it. I've read the manual but that would require me to rezero and I really don't want to deal with that at the moment....just want to dial back down to zero.

The turret caps on your Vortex are not designed to be lifted off and reset for zero in that manner. If you want a 200 yd zero you're going to have to zero it by removing the top cap, loosening the 3 elevation turret screws and turning the inner dial as explained in the instructions. This takes all of 30 seconds to accomplish so I'm not sure why the apprehension.......?

Correct, I bought the scope used slapped it on and hit the range! Guess I'll try to back into it I need to go 1.5 mil down on elevation for the turret to be at the zero mark...may I can offset it by turning the inner dial to save my zero?

Hmm, couldn't he just turn the inner dial 1.5 mils, lock it all back down then turn the outer turret to zero? Not sure if that works as I haven't re-zeroed my Gen 2 Razor in a LONG time.

Good call, I will start over with my zero if it doesn't work out. I knew the caps didn't come off but thought it may be possible to loosen the 3 set screws and simply turn the turrets to zero. I nixed that idea and dialed the turrets to zero and offset it with the internal screw. I'll call vortex tomorrow and see if either idea works. I should have read the directions and did it right when I got the scope but got to excited to go shoot.
