Does anyone have any first hand experience with “Both” of these scopes? I’m looking at one or the other for a coyote gun and I can’t make my mind up on which one I want. I’m curious on observations such as optical clarity between the two, light transmission/ lowlight performance etc etc. Thanks!

@Midwestside yes F.O.V. Is something I forgot to list, thank you. The 3-15 looks a lot better in that department.
I’m probably leaning towards the 3-15 as of right now. The extra top end mag. on the 5-25 would be useful for target i.d. and spotting but I shoot between 10-15 most of the time anyways so it’s not a deal breaker for me.
-Does the 3-15 stay clear on the top end of the magnification range?
-How is the eye box on the 3-15?
-Is there any noticeable difference in low light performance due to the different obj. sizes?
Thank you

I have to apologize, i misread your title and mistook the viper for Razor, which I have used quite a bit of those.
The FOV coincidentally still applies to both lines.
I do own the 3-15 viper gen 2, but just started using it on a 22lr trainer. (don't own the 5-25 viper gen2)
So some others may have to help you out with the subtle differences.

I'd say the FOV on the 3-15 would definitely give you an advantage for what you're trying to accomplish, the eye box should be similar and the difference in objective size is negligible between those scopes overall. At max magnification the exit pupil is greater for the 3-15 and with them both at 15x your eye will probably not notice the difference.

I have both - yes, Viper PST Gen-IIs, not Razors. The 3-15 lives on a .22, the 5-25 on a .223. Honestly, I've not noticed any great difference in clarity... my other hobby is photography so I have some acquaintance with glass quality. I run the 3-15 at max magnification most of the time; the 5-25 gets moved around in its range. The 3x15 might be subjectively brighter - one would expect that given the magnification differential - but it's not something I've noticed when shooting the rifles back-to-back.

Note - the 3-15 is SFP and the 5-25 is FFP. I had a specific rationale for going SFP for my .22 scope, and it turns out my rationale was in error. I'm looking for an opportunity to move to FFP in that magnification range. I've read here that SFP is often preferable on hunting rifles... if the 3-15x44 is attractive to you in SFP, PM me and maybe we can make a deal. I bought it new and have the box, receipt, etc.
