Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

It's a DLOW 55. It's ok for the money. I've switched to an RRS leveling head and waiting on an Anvil 30. I use this one when I need to manipulate the rifle on the tripod in near vertical positions.
The modularity of the bravo is extremely nice, I have 2 of them love them both one is on my vudoo the other on my 6.5CM
I have a friend who has 2 vudoos one in a bravo and one in a McMillan and he swears he can shoot better groups with the bravo.. but they are both vudoos so one hole is still one hole
After 630 rounds fired, not sure how many is recommended for break-in @RAVAGE88 ?, but I got some decent results for the last 320.
About equal rounds of both SK Standard Plus and Center X.
25 Yard Avg.
Standard Plus = .58 MOA average over 15 five round groups .23 MOA being the best
Center X = .60 MOA average over 16 five round groups .28 MOA being the best
@25 yards, the Standard Plus groups look a tad better and were more consistent.
100 Yard Avg.
Standard Plus = 1.14 MOA average over 14 five round groups .81 MOA being the best
Center X =.58 1.01 MOA average over 14 five round and 1 ten round groups. .47 MOA being the best and the ten round coming in at .99 MOA.
The opposite was true at 100, the Center X looked to be more consistent.
I think these are some very good results. The 100 yard groups could probably be better with a better shooter.
What's surprising is the Standard Plus at $5.30 box vs. Center X at $10.50 box.
Have another lot of Center X coming along with some SK Long Range. But if the Standard Plus shoots this well, why spend more for a PRS/NRL match?

Lot testing SK+ is worth it. I had 6 lots to test with, and 1 lot performed consistently at .89MOA, vs every other lot shooting 1.1 MOA. Bought 7000 rounds of it, and it's actually outshooting most of my other ammo.
I agree but from what I have seen is the center x really starts to shine when you get out past 100. Especially when you get to 200 and beyond. That being said you should be able to find a lot of standard + that will shoot sub moa at 100. The ES is just too large to be consistent beyond that. Man these things are so fun to shoot!

My neighbor actually bought both of mine just recently , so make that four!
Mine has sold 4 that I know of and everyone else that has shot it is saving their $$ so they can afford one!
I really love the ones that say (or think) "You're stupid for having $6000 in a .22" (with a good scope, suppressor, etc.), then they get to shoot it a little or see me hit 5" plates at 200 yards offhand and 1/2 size IPSC silhouettes at 400 yards off a bipod and then they say "What can I sell, cuz I gotta have one!!"

I shoot all my v22 more than any of my precision rifles unless during competition..thats why i dumped plenty $ on it..its fun shooting without braking the bank.so i think putting zcomp on it is the way to fly
Ok ... last minute decision. Ordering a B/A today. Have a Manners T5 with mini chassis and am stuck between 18 and 20 inch Kukri. I know it doesn't matter. I have a SiCo Sparrow but won't use it all the time (or will I?). Will probably run a break if not the can. Somebody push me one way or the other ... pics would help.

Two for me so far! I love letting others shoot mine at the range. They shoot it and then they just smile...
It's so easy to hand someone a box of $5.50 SK+ ammo and say "knock yourself out" I consider myself to be pretty generous, but when someone is shooting one of my centerfires, I'm thinking $1.50 - 2.00 per trigger pull and the time at the reloading bench!!
I've seen bigger smiles from others with my Vudoo than any of my centerfire rifles.
I have the same feelings and experience, once someone starts a group it’s just like setting a hook in a 9lb bass and they can’t get enough..
my kids have already figured out what the “good” ammo is and all I been letting them shoot is CCI standard velocity. I know I’m a cheap ass
That’s what they make extra chores for. When my boys wanted something “extra special” growing up it was as easy as running the weed eater, lawn mower, horse stalls, fence mending, ant pile, weed killing. I’m quite proud Of those lessons as the people they work with and for now comment continuously on their work ethic. And they got some cool stuff I probably would have gotten them anyway, but took the opportunity to give them something more valuable instead.

why? because from what i can see a lot of NRL22 matches are adding additional stages where u going to have to stretch out to 150+ yds
I put a bravo on my t1x, stock is a winner, I love it. Really comfortable in every position

Speculating on the interpretation of the statistics and assuming outliers are distributed randomly in a lot, perhaps lots 602424 and 706186 have a greater percentage of outliers than 600331 and 605986. Or 600331 and 605986 were "lucky" and have the same percentage of outliers as 602424 and 706186 just none in the samples you tested. Perhaps in a sample size of 100 rounds or a 1000 rounds all four lots would have same number of outliers?
As I have said previously, perhaps there is equal variation between boxes from different lots as from different boxes in the same lot. Box roulette for competition shooting in terms of ammunition.

Picked up my Vudoo yesterday. 16.5” Kukri, TriggerTech Diamond, NF NX8 2.5-20.
I just ordered a V22, 18" Kukri, and 40 moa base. Greg mentioned with Ares ETR, I should have a few mils below 25yd zero, and enough dialing to 450 yards.
W/ a 40 MOA rail and a Ares BTR and 25 yard zero, I have 20.4 mils of elevation. Leaving me approximately 5 mils of reserve elevation for more rail if I decide.
With current 26*F, I can dial out to 400 yards w/ 10 mils of reticle left which gets me out to 425.

My V22, 18" Kukri, ordered the first week of January, came yesterday. Mounted an Athlon Midas TAC 5-25 from Doug @ CameraLandNY on the 30MOA rail. Took it to a local indoor range this AM and shot a few rounds through it to get it close to zero. Really need to get it outside on a bench and bags to get a solid zero, and dope beyond that. But that ain't gonna happen when it's 5* F, and the wind @ 15-20mph

I've had Jewell HVR triggers on a couple of V22s - like them very much, no problems or issues. But after I tried a Trigger Tech Diamond on the other V22, I decided to put Diamonds on both the heavy comp rifles, and stick with a Jewell on the lighter sporter model.
I believe there's a Flavio in my future - I've got my name on the list for a V22S, and if I'm right, the trigger Mike choose to use on that action is the Flavio.
I sold all my TT Diamonds and Jewell triggers after I put the first Bix & Andy Competition in one of my Vudoos. Spend the money for a Bix first, you’ll not regret it. Also, I had the original Flavio in a custom X3L rimfire BR gun and it is very nice for that application.
I did lot testing with SK Std+ & Rifle Match, and found excellent lots of each. However, when it came to shooting out past 100-150yds, I needed something more consistent, and wound up buying a couple of cases of a lot of Center-X that showed very good 50&100M groups at the Lapua Testing Center in Mesa, Az. Oddly enough, quite often the good lots of Std+ & Rifle Match will shoot at least as good, or even a bit better at 50yds as the lot of Center-X. I've gotten these same results in three rifles - a jelrod-converted CMP 40XB/Krieger, V22/Krieger, and the only bbl I didn't chamber with my EPS reamer, a Bartlein Kukri that I bought as a bbl'd action from VGW. Need to do some comparison testing with these three brands & grades of ammo in the Shilen .850" straight bbl I fitted & chambered for my CZ457 MTR action. So far, I've found Center-X will shoot at least as good at 200yds out of the Shilen as it does in any of the other three rifles mentioned. BTW - I didn't do any 'break-in' on any of these custom bbls. While it's probably a good idea to run 500+ rounds of ammo through factory CZ bbls (at least in my experience), I don't believe there's any need or benefit to doing any break-in in a good custom bbl.
Ordered three more mags, ten total, and probably more to come. I prefer to preload my mags on the couch if possible. Would like to have enough mags to run a match w/o reloading.

So my SK+ has a smaller SD than my Center-X, but a larger ES. That's why it can hold smaller groups closer, but just miss the target or have drastically large group due to a flyer or two.
Center-X had a ES of 20, SD of 10.
SK had a ES of 30, SD of 8.
ES of 20 vs 30 would mean a 2" vs a 3" group at 200.
I am not sure what a 10ES difference at 50/100 yards would mean, but it's not that drastic.
reubenski - I'm attaching a few photos of several paper targets shot at 50yds, over the space of a couple of years, but with the same lots of ammo, and one of a couple of 10-shot strings on steel at 200yds. The 50yd paper targets are labeled as to which rifle & ammo were used. The 200yd steel targets are a 6" & 4" gongs, with SK Rifle Match on the 6", and Lapua Center-X on the 4" gong. They were shot off a fairly stable portable bench with Doggone Good bags, using a CZ457 MTR/Shilen bbl in a VPT Manners stock. I think part of the vertical with Center-X could maybe be eliminated by the use of a good front rest, but I may be full of it; Rifle Match had more horizontal spread, with only a few low hits. Bad part of all this is the space of years between when targets were shot, and not having any notes as to what the conditions were on the days when they were shot. All I know is that I'm glad my rifles will shoot pretty decent groups at 50yds with ammo that's less expensive than Center-X or Midas Plus...lol

2Barrels - I went through about a dozen lots of the SK Rifle Match to find this good one, and when I finally did find it, Graf's was running a dealer special with free freight, so I bought 2 cases of it. OTOH, SK Pistol Match (not the Special) shot pretty darned good no matter which lot of it I tried. If a guy wasn't interested in shooting out past 50yds, plain Pistol Match would be hard to beat without going through a lot of work testing lot samples. At least, that's the way it ran three years ago. Might be different now, for all I know, since I bought 1-1/2 cases of a good lot back then, and haven't bought any more of it since. It doesn't hang in there with Rifle Match, LR Match, Flatnose Basic, nor Center-X out at 100, nor at 200yds, at least, not in my rifles.
Has anyone here had any luck with the +2 magazine extensions? I have heard both good and bad about them. I’m told Vudoo is working on a 12 rd magazine but it hasn’t been released yet. Our matches always seem to require 12 rounds per stage and those 2 extra rounds would be a huge help for me.
I have shot quite a bit of SK and Lapua ammo although not out of a Vudoo yet. My best performance has been with the SK Pistol match special. SK Standard plus has been hard to beat for the money though. One thing I will say about Center x however is it has much better lot to lot consistency than the SK. I see some pretty big POI shifts from lot to lot of SK that I do not see with Center X.
