Actually, mortars are readily available in the US. Form 1 for the cup. You can fire all the practice (non-payload carrying) rounds you want.

I just bought a PIAT from a place in TN that has an 81MM mortar and a couple of Russian mortars for sale. DD. Form 1 to ATF. You have to get your local LE to sign off.

Russian mortars are a comparative bargain right now at about $3K. That's live! Ammo $75 a round and you can reload the lifting charge.

US WWII stuff is getting crazy expensive, esp. after "The Pacific" came out. But if you want a Mortar, it's about as much initial cost as a good precision rifle. Just a bit more paperwork.

    Here's a reputable company: www.ordnance.com

When .50 BMG is not enough... there is always NLOS!

    Cheers,

I'm planning on getting one instead of a sports car during my midlife crisis, they cost around the same but tanks are just so much cooler.

    Link worked for me.

Kind of like to buy a tank, but the gun safe I have is full, besides I would need a bigger one.

If you buy the right kind of tank... you could use it as a gun safe! Last I checked, even Liberty Safes don't have 7 inches of frontal armor plate.

    That was great, thanks.
