I believe @woolin account has been hacked. Last Sunday @woolin posted a Garmin Xero for sale. The for sale ad had a time stamped picture and video with the Garmin Xero in it, however they were from a picture/video hosting site. I sent him a message saying “I’ll take it”. He gives me his PayPal account info with specific instructions not to mention anything gun related in the comments.

I send him the funds via PayPal F&F right away. The next day I ask him to send tracking info. I went back to look for the “for sale ad” he posted Sunday and it’s gone. I then tried to message him asking what’s going on, nothing. At this point I already know that I won’t be getting the Garmin Xero. I reached out to someone he had done a deal with last year and asked what’s email he was given to send funds to. The email he was provided was different from the one I used to send money.

I went against my better judgment and didn’t ask to FaceTime to actually see the product, my mistake. The communications I had with this guy had none of the typical wording you see with most of the scammers.

Guys, I’d highly advise you to request a video phone call with the person you’re about to do business with no matter what. This was an established members account that had a lot of feedback over the years that obviously has been hacked.

Look at my signature under my profile name. This needs to be mandatory. Maybe scammers will evolve and have a product in their hands and scam that way but that will be far and few between.

Also, make sure everyone turns on 2FA - it's not hard and even MOA guys should know how to do it .

Sorry you got taken.
