Wouldn't it be easier to buy a bag made from tin cloth?

Hit it with a hair dryer or a heat gun on low and work it in. It will be fine

Put the shoe drying rack in your dryer and toss that thing in there at low heat for at least 2 hrs.

It'll be fine. That bag just needs some slow and low heat...and lots of therapy.
