Unless you really need a rail I would just go with one of these. They have better machining quality then most of the stuff in the price range and you wont have to buy rings.

Where and when did you get your DIP scope base for the marlin, because they have been listed as out of stock on their web site for a while now. And i have been looking for one for my marlin for a bit now.
