Anyone know anything about these? They look like a GSG oem bolt action .22lr with a carbon fiber barrel for $300?

I want to get one for my son.

I saw one at Cabelas. They felt great for a $300 gun

Yeah. But he changed the spring as was able to get it down to 5 lbs 2 oz. Some of the British reviews say the trigger comes from the factory set at the lowest pull which ranges between 3-4 pounds. No idea if the importer increased the trigger weight because of overzealous lawyers or if it's consistency issues with production.

Mine is supposed to be here Friday. The only problem I seen with it was 1/2-20 barrel thread. I hope it is actually 1/2-28 to suppress it without an adapter. The trigger doesn't scare me at all it can be adjusted one way or another.

Great rifle with an extremely crappy trigger. Literally feels close to 10 lb from the factory. Just finished fixing mine and it's a 5-minute fix which is extremely easy. Remove the action from the stock, and then remove the bolt. use a very thin nail file, allen wrench, or whatever works best and put it between the coils of the trigger spring and compress it downward and remove the spring itself. start very slowly and using a pair of dikes or whatever your tool of Carnage might be, cut off about 1 full coil then reinsert the spring and test the trigger pull. For me I ended up removing approximately two full coils and my trigger pull is now down to two pounds and breaks like glass. Couldn't be happier with the rifle. Word of caution, when cutting off the coils on your trigger spring, start slowly because you can always cut more. If you cut too much the spring will not be able to seat properly back into the hole and you will be forced to buy a new spring. try this fix and I think you'll be amazed at the difference in the feel and the break of the trigger. Literally took 8 pounds off of the trigger pull. Also, before removing the trigger spring make sure that you set the trigger to its lightest setting by screwing the adjustment screw all the way downward in a clockwise motion. Hope this helps everyone and enjoy the rifle.

It's a great backpacking rifle. It's really light in weight. I do agree that the trigger pull is a bit heavy but it's has a glass rod crisp break. Has anybody yet confirmed that the muzzle threads are 1/2 x 28? The muzzle thread protector is so tight I have yet it to loosen up. I have been shooting 20gr Colibri threw it and it's been a blast. I only have a 2 mil red Dot on it now but when the weather gets better I will stop shooting targets in the living room fireplace and see what it can really do.
