An oldie but a goodie- back in hood ol 2015. A kinder gentler time without trigger happy goons could and will shoot citizens and livestock/pets with total impunity-immunity. O wait it hasn’t gotten worse just more OBVIOUS.
But at least now as compared to 2015 we can post about this and talk about it and not be banned from virtually every rifle/shooting forum on the “inter-webs” or the internets as Bush the Stupid was fond of saying .
The above article has it all - illiteracy, incompetence, entering a home without a warrant, killing homeowner who’d done nothing wrong - shot his dogs - AND trigger happy illiterate goons even shot one another . It’s almost like a Stephen Hunter novel.
Never caught the suspected bugler - but officer safety did carry the day!
Many, many components to "Going to the wrong house".... I am not attempting to slant anything in any one direction.
Each of us will "see" different things. True, we can discuss it openly. Thanks to the First Amendment.
The media will use every situation to drive wedges between "We the People". A Divided House can not stand.
A few articles are starting to bring into conversation the "Fear Factor". Americans, especially older American's, are living in fear while locked in their own house.
Electronic Navigation (GPS, etc) are bring people to the wrong house. It has happened to me several times.
Typographical Error. I'm seeing it more and more with my packages delivered to someone else;s house. By carrier's with state of the art tracking and delivery info.
More and more electronic gates at normal looking houses not even gated communities.
EDIT: Added comment's:
I got my driver's license in 1966. As I traveled the rural South, there were many "un-named roads". Several times I stopped, knocked on the front door of a house to ask directions or if they knew where the person I was looking for lived, farmed or had his boat docked. I miss those days.
