for the last few years i was lubing my rifles and barrels with this moly paste lube use for carbon racing brakes. I would clean the rifle then after the barrel was clean i would put a little of the moly lube on a patch with a little bit of hoppes oil run the patch thought the barrel. then dry patch it out. So it had a very very light coat.
I never really get any copper fouling and the barrels clean easy as hell. I have no idea if the moly lube/oil thing had anything to do with it or im just lucky.
I started doing thing cause after a rain it was the only lube i had to keep my rifle from rusting one day. i kept doing it cause there was almost no change from a clean barrel shot to a fouled barrel shot.
Any ways im almost out of the moly lube paste.
What do you guys use to lube your barrels after a cleaning?
