we've been wargamed?

Re: we've been wargamed?

I read all of the linked material.

It is troubling and not as "Out there" as the professional dismissers* or ignorers* would insist I believe.

*Yes, I mangled those two words: Isn't it tiring to constantly lament (or listen to others constantly bitch about) the shameful abdication of the duties and privileges the professional media have forsaken in order to provide service to their political preferences, at the expense of all things sacred to their constitutional place of honor.

It disturbs me that out of all the small towns in the USA, they chose the little town I live in. I seriously need to stock up on tin foil.

Well SC was the start of the War of Northern Agression.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">In May 2016 an extremist militia motivated by the goals of the “tea party” movement takes over the government of Darlington, South Carolina, occupying City Hall, disbanding the city council, and placing the mayor under house arrest. Activists remove the chief of police and either disarm local police and county sheriff departments or discourage them from interfering. In truth, this is hardly necessary. Many law enforcement officials already are sympathetic to the tea party’s agenda, know many of the people involved, and have made clear they will not challenge the takeover. The militia members are organized and have a relatively well thought-out plan of action.</div></div>

At the risk of getting my posting deleted by a Mod (and for that I'm sorry), I've really fucking had it with the abuse dished out the Tea Party.

I mean for fucks sakes. Say the same goddamn thing about the Black Panthers, or the democratic party __________ and you'll find yourself labeled as a racist or a bigot or worse.

I've been a member of Fark.com for quite a few years, yet I rarely post. The only times I've posted is when left wing fuckholes posted that they hoped a "teabagger" was responsible for shooting of Congresswoman Giffords and most recently the nutjob at the Batman showing.

I really wish the Tea Party would stand up for ourselves and let these liberal mouthpieces have it. These are good, responsible, law-abiding people in your community and they're demonized to no end. Just pisses me off.

Re: we've been wargamed?

Looking at the comments left under the article at the small wars journal website is entertaining. However, from the comments it appears that there are many who believe that there would be wholesale rejection in the armed forces of the order to turn weapons against the American people if the president declared that civil disobedience amounted to insurrection. I believe those people will be sorely disappointed.

There will be some who would refuse, but most would not. The higher the rank, the more likely the orders would be followed. After my experience working with flag officers at the national command level I am quite certain that whatever the president orders would be followed, Constitutional or not. Any dissent is much more likely to come from the junior officers and mid level NCOs.

If the US military was concerned in the least about its members understanding their Constitutional duties and restrictions, there would be education and courses to that effect. Ask around what the posse comitatus act means or how the oath to the Constitution is different from an oath to the government and you are likely to get a bunch of blank stares.

As an aside, Benson should be as ashamed of himself as I am of his work. This is clearly a propaganda tool and a political hit piece, and unbecoming a professional officer. I can't say that I am surprised though, as I have had my fill of agenda driven politicians masquerading as senior officers. I guess that is what happens in an officer corps that serves at the pleasure of the president. After so long, it appears he has forgotten what his oath was. Like so many others, it appears he was all too willing to pin on ever higher rank as a stake right through the heart of his integrity.
