Hey guys, I’m looking at selling my current PVS14 to upgrade to a filmless WP unit.

Tried to do some research but Didn’t see anything concrete. What do you think this is worth if I put it in the px?

If you bought it from who I believe you bought it from, you should be able to sell it for close to what you paid.

Have you tried contacting him about doing a "trade-up"?

I’m sure it’s the same person, good idea! I was going to get one from TNVC but I’ve been impressed with his work and the tubes he can source.

Not really. Surgeon Shooter built it for me. He’s pretty well known here to putting together good NV kit.

I’m recently acquainted with SS. He helped me procure my latest UTC.

Solid dude. Hope he gets his PVS-27 retube process perfected. I know a lot of peeps who will jump on that.

I think since he doesn't have a commercial account, folks tend to tread lightly, as they don't want him to get in trouble with the forum rules. I can echo your sentiments though, in that he's a solid dude (just got another 14 from him yesterday).

I’m bettin’ he springs for a commercial account before too long. He has a stellar rep, and does some unique things that other vendors don’t, so it seems like he’ll get his money’s worth.

Gotta get the ‘Hide’s NV section beefed-up with more activity. Makes it more attractive. The Flightless Artic Bird over at ARF nuked my Lifer account, so I now call SH home.

So back to the what it’s worth...

if you guys were the seller where would you price it?

the L3 Omni Viii at most vendors seem to run about $3200-$3400. I’m thinking maybe $2500?

If I remember correctly your tube is really nice. I would say $2500 or so would be a good used price for it. I can help you sell it if you’d like pal, I can post it on my IG and FB pages for you.

Thanks man! I’m working on the 27 today actually and should have it collimated and tested by Monday. I heard you may want to coat that UTC, if so the guy that does my coating (coating the pvs-27’s) is extremely good and will be willing to do it. Let me know if you want his information.

If it's a good set and as good as the ITT hand select set I have then I'm not so sure it'd be worth the money just to get it in black and white. We see green better, it's the reason they came like that for so long. In fact, the green ones are better for some things and WP better for others and it really comes down to which one you prefer. That's why I say I don't think they're worth $1500 just to change colors. You may have a different view on this though.

I figure I'll hang onto mine and go with WP when I decide to get a bino set. I got the PVS30 out of the way but I'd like to get a good thermal clip on first and those ain't cheap.

I'd rather have FSQ36 (yeah, right?) and I'm still kicking myself in the ass for not buying the PSQ21 when I had the chance. Yeah, it was expensive as shit heavier than two but I'd have it and it'd be the titties. If I'd seen the divorce coming, I'd have bought two of the motherfuckers though.
