I am considering buying a precision trainer with a Kelby Stock.
The only question I have is it has a butt hook.
The other option is a manners T6
I have heard some people say butt hook stocks are not ideal on a PRS type rifle.
Can someone tell me what the disadvantages are?

Thanks

I wouldn't say there is an advantaged or disadvantage. It is really more of a preference thing. Bags tend to slide back more on the hook, but an angled style like a T6 can rapidly change elevation. All my rifles both 22 and centerfire are in a T6 or PRS2. It doesnt make me right or wrong, just what I like.

Butt hook on a stock is not much different than bag riders on the chassis.

It is preference and how you will be running your rear bag.

I personally like how moving the bag forward on a stock gets me elevation change, and how it gives me a full platform for alternative positions.
