18" barrel 1/10 twist, gemtech can, and bolt gun. I have my 308 flash holes drilled to 9/64" and primed with magnum primers. I have chose to try Trail boss for the first round.

I really was wandering about bullet type. I though I heard some where to only shoot the big round nose bullets. is this so or can I still shoot SMK or Nosler HPBT through and still stabalize the bullet?
I will probably go with 180 grainers or 168s. this barrel will stabalize 210 grain bullets that are super sonic.

No one wants a baffle strike.

Hey Tex,
I have a 300 Blackout that I shoot sub-sonic. I have been using 220gr SMK's. I have done more research, and have found out that the 220 round nose will work better for sub-sonic applications. They are also much cheaper than the SMK's. I haven't tried them yet, but think they should work well.
