What bushing for 6.5x47 L, Redding Type S FULL die

Re: What bushing for 6.5x47 L, Redding Type S FULL die

I was told by several, including Sinclair, to get a .289 before I had the components. It only gave me .0005 neck tension, so I ordered a .288 a couple of days ago. Lapua brass, 130 and 140 Bergers.

My homework tells me I should order three, .288", .289" and .290". The bullet .264" + brass (.0135" x 2 = .027") should come to .291". Starting with the .290" which would give the least amount of tension and then working tighter to find the loads with the smallest ES/SD.

I started with a .290, but after 3-4 reloads, its not enough. Now I just go with a .289 for the life of the brass - 10 loadings or so.

This is with a .293 neck chamber.
