For most this is the first day of the weekend. So what did everyone shoot today? I guess I'll go first. :p

First on my list is my new Tikka T3x CTR in 6.5 Creedmor. This was shot only at 55 yards but I'm happy with it. Ammo data is on the target. And yeah, I know, I only shot two 5-shot groups and went home. I didn't see the value in shooting any more at 55 yards. That ammo is not cheap. Actually I mainly bought that ammo to get the Lapua small primer pocket brass.

Next up is another Tikka, the 17 HMR. Found some ammo I hadn't tried yet. Pretty happy with those results. Next week I will get my CZ 453 in 17 HMR and we will see how it does.

Last, I shot my Anschutz 1813. This was the top of the line back in the 1980's. I'm pretty happy with how it shoots.

We could extend this into the weekend with, "What did you shoot today". At least get a photo of your gun. A target and range photo would be nice too along with some dialog telling what is going on.

I had a very good shooting week, one of the best ever!

My Anschutz 1827F was nailing everything this week!
I cleaned the KYL rack at 50Y, the last shot is 1/4". Shot 5 on paper also, all touching.
    Ran the small steel - 25Y, 39Y, 50Y, 60Y, 70Y, 75Y, missed at 80Y, it's a 1.5" triangle - wind, got it on 3rd shot, 90Y, 100Y, 112Y, 136Y, 162Y and 191Y.
Swung over to the 4" MGM mini popper at 251Y and got 6/10.
Hit the 2/3 IPSC at 500Y, 29 mils, 20 dialed and 9 hold with 1-1.5 of windage. I'm not sure how many times I hit it, 20 rounds fired, not a whole lot of hits, maybe half the time, it got painted before I saw how I did.

Shot the smallest vertical at 1000Y I ever have with my Mausingfield 6mmBR. See here with pics https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/crazy-small-vertical-with-my-6mmbr.6969483/

I shot a variety of rifles over the weekend. Goal was to test a new brick of RWS Target Rifle ammo in a few guns. I can get this for $50 a brick shipped.

Shot the Tikka #3 the Sako Hunter, the Sako Range and my Kimber 82 Sporter. Results were not bad but not impressive either with that ammo in these rifles. Didn't get a photo of the Tikka but we all know what one looks like. The Kimber could have been impressive but the trigger is not consistent, sometimes it's a 2lb trigger and other times it's a .5 lb trigger that causes AD's. I have tired adjusting the trigger several times without success. My 82G's are just as bad. The Kimber SVT is better but even it's still has inconsistencies. All three are different designs, all three come from Oregon.

This is the Sako Range model.

This is the Sako Hunter model. This is the same barrel, action and trigger as the Range but in a different style stock.

Results at 55 yards. Like I said, some are ok, not bad but not really impressive either. I'm positive the Kimber would shoot better with a more consistent trigger.

Well, that concludes what I shot over the weekend.

Steve 123, Do you see any other Anschutz rifles at the NRL22 or Precision matches? Is it the lack of 10 round mags that keeps people from using them? Or mag problems. Have they made you shoot that weak handed yet? How did that work?

So today was the 350 legend bolt gun. Just some rounds to get barrel worked in and gather some brass for reloads. Didn’t chronograph any for two reasons. I don’t care what 150 fmj runs and two my Chrono took a hot 22 Nosler to the face so waiting on magnetospeed to show up. Overall I think it has potential with decent ammo.

Not 1827F's like mine but I've only been to three different clubs. Seen plenty of Anschutz bolt rifles, more 64 actions than 54's. The MPR is very popular and 10 round mags are the norm. Reliability depends highly on specific units, most are reliable and some are finicky.

I know a guy that had a finicky Vudoo so any of these rifles can need tuning.

CZ's seem to be the most reliable but a fair amount of them aren't match accurate, mine wasn't. I haven't ran across an Anschutz yet that wasn't a great shooter, I've owned 5.

Ha, I sold a nice Savage Anschutz 141 to a guy a decade ago. He recently emailed me showing a photo of the rifle and loves the thing. I miss it, lol!

For whatever reason I can shoot my 1827F just fine weak handed. It feels weird but it's not uncomfortable and I've done well on those stages.
