What dies do you guys like for 300win mag I was thinking the Forsters Ultra micrometer or Redding? I am pretty new to reloading I have the RCBS starter kit and some other stuff but what start loading for my savage for longer range. I will be trying the 208 AMAX, 200 SMK, and 210 VLD maybe some others. So what dies will be best should I FL size or neck size since this is the only gun I will use these dies on. thinks

I've used both companies you mentioned and I have to say the Redding dies are the best. I've had severe consistency problems using Lee stuff and never a problem (knock on wood) using Redding.

Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Buy every die made, do lots of experiments, and you will likely wind up with the Forster seater, Lee Collet neck die, and Redding bump die.

But the technique is more important than the brand.
I have got some great groups with the cheapest RCBS set they make.

Yes, the Redding comp dies are awesome. The Redding comp seater allows you to seat the long pointy bullets without changing the seating stem. Plus I love the micrometer adjustment. I used a Hornady set, and you have to change out the seating stem to seat the 208 so the tip doesn't hit the top of the die.

+1...

I have a 1000 yard rifle in 300 WM built on a Model 70 Action, I've been shooting 1000 yd matches for about 30 years using the standard RCBS (FL) dies and they work great. I tried NecK sizers and SB sizers. The standard FL die worked better in my gun.

Redding type S neck die, Redding bump die for when they get tight (I only back the shoulder off .0005 to .001, Forester Ultra seater,,, and this litt gem will keep your cases going for a long time --- http://www.larrywillis.com/300winmag.html

Belted magnums are tricky because your problem area is just ahead of the belt and a tradional FL size die will not size that portion and this is where the Belted Magnum Collet Resizing Die works its magic.

Gotta love a 300
