Ok, so I want to open up some room in my main pack and currently my assortment of different rest bags are taking up too much room. I’d like to store them on the outside of the pack but have them secure. My main pack is a Eberlestock Gunslinger 2. I could strap them up somehow to the molle but that seems a bit cumbersome. I thought about getting some small binocular holders or similar type storage container and throwing them in there then attaching that to the molle as that would be much quicker than strapping each bag by itself, etc. anyways what do you guys do? Some of you may be down to using only one main rest bag but I like options lol.

I use a carabineer and clip it to the outside. Your bino holders or other storage containers are going to cost a whole lot more than a $1 carabineer.

Yeah, I use a carabiner. Truth be told, I carry 4 or 5 bags to matches but have settled on just using a fortune cookie for most everything. Occasionally, I have use for the pump pillow, but I probably get 95% done with the FC.

Empty you GSII pug ut on the scale..

So it weighs about the same as a game changer, actual more!.. yikes.

Since you’re rethinking this stuff you can go way smaller than what you have, lighter and pop a few bags on the outside and an RRS tripod

I would say try to shoot a match with 1 bag and a pump pillow if you feel you need the pillow. I use my gecko 2 as my everything bag. Rear, positional, support, etc. also have a tripod and pump pillow just in case.

Im not really concerned with the weight too much. And these bags are so damn expensive I can’t really swap every couple of years.
