I've tried several differant syles of training to see what my body likes the best to gorw and lately I've been doing DC style training. DC stands for "Dogg Crapp" which was desgined by Dante Trudell , It basicaly involves very high intensity with lower reps and max weight.

The last 18 months I've been over training and under eating due to contest dieting to get and stay lean. Now that I have upped my calories and started this training I'm seeing major gains. The training is hard and you realy need a partner to get the best out of it but i train alone so its not a nessesity , the hardest part is keeping the log and the extreme streaching.

Re: What does your workout look like?

todays workout was

8 sets-

12x 185lb deadlift
6 strict pullups
12 burpees
12 knees to elbows

1000m row

that is pretty typical of the type of stuff i'm doin right now.

I have tried amnby different types of training but boxing is best for me ...it is the closest to a true fight that can be had while still ensuring that there are safety rules in place to prevent serious injury.

Today's WOD

Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.

Post total reps from all 32 intervals

Re: What does your workout look like?

Bench press to failure in 8 - 12 reps
Seated rows to failure in 8 - 12 reps
Dips to failure
Pull ups to failure
Stationary bike for 30 seconds at 10/10 intensity
Puke

The puke takes longer than the work out.

That sounds good, minus the puking part. After raiding my step daughters Halloween candy stash for the last two days, I feel the need to burn off some serious calories. I won't start my usual dieting phase until January, but I am really packing on the winter blubber this year. 12 lb gain since the beginning of October so no chance in hell of getting my ideal reps of:

Body weight Bench Press
no rest
Pull-ups -
no rest
squats-

repeat, try not to puke.

Re: What does your workout look like?

If you are trying to gain weight use the 8-10 rep range and stick with the big 3 (squat bench deadlift) along with rows, pull ups and weighted dips

Re: What does your workout look like?

Monday- Legs and abs
Tuesday- Full body with 30 min of cardio
Wednesday- 3-5 mile run in PT gear
Thursday- Chest and back
Friday- Bi's, tri's, and shoulders
Saturday- Rest
Sunday- MARSOC short card (a good 20 minutes of intense calisthenics), then a short distance run at fast pace.

Sometimes I like to throw on the flak vest with a SAPPI plate and do a short run and circuit course.

Re: What does your workout look like?

Day 1 chest\bis
Day 2 legs
Day 3 shoulders\tris
Day 4 back
I throw a rest day usually between back and shoulders. I try to keep back and legs as far apart as possible.

Re: What does your workout look like?

+1 for P90X ... very challenging and you can make it happen at the house. Very simple but effective techniques for a full-body fitness, strenghth, flexibility & speed.

Re: What does your workout look like?

I'm not too creative, so 5 days a week it looks like this:

1. run 6 miles
2. take a shower

Thinking about trying P90X after the first of the year.....

Re: What does your workout look like?

Five days a week.

Monday chest

Tuesday back

Wednesday legs

Thursday shoulders

Friday arms

Eat clean, multi vitamins and minerals, complex crabs, whey protein, flax seed oil, creatine, amino acids. Switch up routines, and stay motivated.
