I thinking of having a 6.5 PRC built , anyone know if I can use a Rem 700 300WM action ? will rounds feed in an AICS 300WM magazine ? if not what factory actions will work ?

Magnum bolt face with 300 WSM mags. Talk with a smith who does a lot in the long range/PRS game for most current precision rifle stuff is what I suggest.

You are better off buying a Mack Bros Evo for less than 600 than any factory action, IMO. You can use a factory Tikka or something else nice, but it will be about that and are limited on aftermarket parts.

EVO FAN BOY THERE ! run a savage action on my 308,6.5 creedmoor ,6.5 prc and 300 prc never have a problem holding my own and regularly beating much more expensive rifles

Another vote for Mack Bros. But since you said factory, Tikka.

Depends on where you want to end up I guess but if you can find a Savage action like a model 10 that is factory blueprinted it should treat you well. It is not an Impact or Kelbly but it is serviceable and you can install the barrel yourself with a few tools.

Tikka will be your best bet for a factory action, will allow you to seat the bullets as far out as you like if you handload. There’s a good aftermarket for the tikka now and you can buy 6.5 prc prefit barrels from many different vendors, with or without a barrel nut. If you are okay with going away from factory the Evo would be a good option.

It would have to be a magnum as the 6.5PRC needs a .532” bolt face .

Question for y'all - if you went with any long action magnum, your magazine and reciever would have extra length. Will that extra length cause "sloppy" feeding, or does it work fine? Seems like it would work OK.

You can start with a .473 face.

Here are two that started as Creeds..

I am new to the gun building world. Can you explain why it wouldn’t have to be a magnum with the .532 bolt face?
Thanks,
Josh

It DOES need a .532 bolt face if you're not going to change the way it came from the "factory". Shooter71 is saying that a .473 bolt face can be enlarged to .532 by a machinist/gunsmith, as he did above.
