What happened to Pentagon lights?

I have a Pentagon LED on my one M4 and love it. I've had it for probably 6-7 years and never had an issue with it and it was much cheaper than a Surefire.

Looks like Pentagon went out of business? What's the story with that?

They were sued by Surefire for patent infringement and put out of business. I used to have two of their lights and I agree that they were great lights, very bright, very durable, but at the end of the day I still have more Surefires.

What was their infringement? I am not familiar with the details of Surefire as far as patents go , just know they are at the top of the heap. I am curious to see what Pent. tried to do that went too far.

Yeah I'm curious too, I really like my Pentagon and wish I could get another and ditch my Surefire incandescent.

IIRC it had to do with the patent on Surefire's lockout tailcap in addition to false advertising on PL's part claiming that their lights were "Made in USA".

It is a shame, they had a very good reputation. I still see them for sale from time to time used

The model I really miss is the MOLLE Light.

I forgot I lost mine. I miss it too. I might have to have an all hands strip search for it over the holiday break.

I hav their molle light and atleast 5 other models.gonna suck if I need parts down the road.

I loved the molle light. I had one and lost it, then i couldnt find a new one to buy anywhere.
If anyone finds it i lost it somewhere near Um Quasr.
