What happened To the new Posts shortcut?

If you hit the up arrow next to "Forums" it collapses the subheadings and "Whats New" appears in its regular place.
Thought it was just me experiencing this and that I had screwed something up.
Kind of a pain in the ass. The "Forums" section does not stay collapsed and every time I click on the screen to scroll down to "Whats New" I end up clicking over to the "Forums" screen.
