Rifle Scopes what I'm thinking

I'm thinking I'm going to get the Leupold VX 3 1.5-5x20 illuminated duplex reticle scope for my AR-15 in a DMR/hunting set up. I'm going to send it off to the Leuopold and get thier M1 elevation and windage turrets. What do you guys think?

If have seen it done a few times and it has worked well. If you can swing it I would recommend getting the Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 1.5-5x24mm w/ the M2 turret. This is a really nice scope.

What exactly are the differences between the vx III and the Mark 4? Unfortunately I'm not willing to risk divorce for a 1200 dollar scope so the mark IV is out of the question.
