I guess what I'm asking is what are the top tactical precision rifle matches in the country (or even in the world)?
If you could only win one match, which one would be the achievement of a lifetime and carry the most clout?

..CLEANING all (16) targets on The Intimidator at TVP...then hitting the 1,650 yard target on the 1st shot....

..hey...you gotta set high goals right?....right!!

Other than the use of rifles, Wimbledon has ZERO resemblance to a sniper match

+1 stiff competition

Re: What is the Super Bowl of sniper matches?

Depends on how you want to define "Sniper Match"?

Some matches:
- are shot from the prone at known distances, and do not involve anything else.

- are shot from various positions at unknown distances.

- are shot from various positions at unknown distances, and involve other elements such as stalking or land navigation.

- include significant physical components to include things like running and clearing obstacles.

- include scenario based stages, that shooting is less than 50% of what is going on.

- include the use of other weapons, such as close range engagements with a pistol.

For some folks it is ONLY about shooting, so they don't care about any of the other elements.

For some folks it is about "real world sniping", so they want to include all of the elements that apply to what they are really doing whether they are LE or Military.

My vote would also go to the International Sniper Competition at Ft Benning, because it includes all of the above, but you have to be active LE or Military and be good enough to get one of the 35 team invitations, so not everyone is going to get to go to that "Super Bowl".

Beyond that, depends on what you want for your "Super Bowl" requirements?

Best of Luck,
M Richardson

ASC. Their is nothing like a weekend on that mountain. If I ever take 1st I'll be happy to lose ever other match I go to.
