what length and calibers for an SBR?

Im going to send one in for a lower. I have read you cant say "multi" for calibers and you have to list what ones you may use. I was thinking about just doing a full list from a couple reloading manuals to just get "everything"

as far as length, i have heard about putting the "shortest" barrel length you would have such as 5" or 7" and anything longer was OK. is this true?

Once a lower is registered as an SBR, you can swap barrel lengths and calibers as you please. If the change is going to be "permanent", then you will need to call the BATFE and amend your paperwork. I called the BATFE and asked the same question earlier this week.
