what load

I'm trying N555 with the 85.5 today if the weather permits. I'm using Berger's data which allows a little more powder than Vihts website. I'll have a Garmin chrono and will post here with results.

Got out yesterday for some shooting. My 22 CM is an Origin action with a 1:7, 26" Criterion varmint weight barrel. Temps at 85-88 and mild breezes. I shot 4 shot groups at 100 yards. Brass is 2X Hornady, primers were Blue Mountain Large Rifle. N555 powder, five loads tested.

38.5 gr, 7/8" group 3069 avg, ES 24
39.0 gr, 3/16" group 3079 avg, ES 18
39.5 gr 3/8" group 3139 avg ES 10
40.0 gr 1/2" group 3141 avg ES 11
40.5 gr 3/4" group 3166 avg ES 46

There were no visible pressure signs at all. Seems 39-40 grains a good area. I used Berger's data which uses ADG brass and 41.2 max. My velocities were very close to Berger's. Don't think I'll go any higher.
