Rifle Scopes What points is a 20MOA base needed?

Hey guys,
Still making my list of stuff to get to finish my 300WM build.
Just got to looking for a one piece scope mount and a few 20moa bases caught my eye..
Got to thinking, the scope im getting has 140 or 160moa adjustments. Is thats enough for 1500yd shots? IF i dont have to use alot of my elevation when sighting in at 600.

I'd just get one to begin with. You can still get a 100 yard zero without a problem and that way you will have the extra elevation should you need it.

i went through the same decision being new to distance shooting. just get the 20 moa base and be done.
I have not heard of anyone having trouble getting zero at 100 yds with a 20 moa base. the benefits out weigh the negatives but i have yet to find any negatives.

as stated above - just get the 20 MOA and be done with it. It is always nicer to have the extra 20 MOA then not have it when you need it.
