What press for 338LM?

I use the Hornady L-n-L single stage and it works fine. It is easier if you put the bullet on the case mouth then slide it up and in the press. Takes no effort!!! I don't like the RCBS die recommended above, because it doesn't support the case very well when seating the bullet. Spend the $ and get a Redding Seating die.

I use the co-ax it's a piece of piss to seat the bullet despite the low clearance. The advantages of the press outweigh this slight inconvenience in my mind. I've got a Lee 50 bmg press that can be converted to standard dies, this would do it no probs.

The Lee Classic Cast single stage and Classic Turret presses will both work well, as will the Redding Ultramag. I have all three on my bench. Traded away a Co-Ax in favor of the Ultramag because I got tired of pinching my fingers seating bullets in the longer cartridges. The Co-Ax is a great press for conventional cases up to 30-06 but for any of the magnums it falls short (pun intended).

I have the RCBS seating die that SPEAK338 refers to in .30 cal. Its great.

I am loading 300 Win mag and 338 RUM on an RCBS JR. it works but I am also looking for a taller press.
