planned purchases: Savage 111 FCNS, NF 5.5-22x50 (have no idea what reticle), not sure what rings (NF, TPS???)

I want to keep the weight down a bit for hunting as lugging a heavy firearm around is no fun. I carried a M249 more than enough and don't want to replicat that experience.
Do you have any suggestions or alterations to this plan?
