What size Scope rings on RPRF

I have a Vortex Crossfire II 6-18×44 scope..Medium rings are too short as well as Vortex Pro High rings..the scope is still hitting the hand guard.. should I change out the 30 moa rail ?? Has anybody else run into this problem?

Objective diameter is 2.3" So divide that in half is 1.15" Add some space for scope caps, so looking at 1.25" high.

The rail would be the way to go.

I understand the math of how to figure out what height scope ring , but I've always just had to buy several different sets of rings different heights and try them out to see what fits/looks / feels right. And return what doesnt work.

Right now I have 2 sets of seekins rings for the Athlon scope being shipped to me to go on the 224 Valkyrie being built for me.

I switched to 0 moa rail..... Easiest fix for anything over 40mm objective
