I might have a need to fill in a small gap on the bottom of a fiberglass stock, due to a larger-than-needed DBM inlet. The purpose of this would be purely cosmetic, with the intent to fill, stand, and hit with paint.

Anybody have a recommendation on a strong, lightweight filler? Thinking maybe Marine-Tex, JB Weld, Devcon, Bondo, ____?

I agree. Marine Tex or Devcon would be ideal. JB weld would work as well. Just use a release agent on the DBM and seat it in there when when you apply the epoxy to get a nice, tight fit.

I've also used the hobby epoxy/baking soda mix on smaller imperfections but for overall sanding and milling I prefer MT or Devcon. .
